Once that is free continue to pull upon the front until you can slide the rear out from under the back of the seat and remove it from the car. It is change that hurts the feelings. The dampener has no vacuum lines or other connections. Once that is done just reverse the steps. The same thing happens to the tanks at gas stations. This way you dont have.
You can check the pump and make sure you are getting power back there while cranking the engine. If you have a noid light you can check for injector pulse. You'll need adapters to connect it to the fuel system. If there was something seriously wrong and the engine was misfiring, you would get a check engine light. In non-gravity fed systems, a fuel pump is necessary to channel liquid through lines into the engine. Engine fired with starter fluid but then dies.
This part is also sometimes called Mazda Protege Fuel Filters. Where did you access the wires to test the power and ground to the pump? I would have though a replacement filter would be more that a strainer. Maybe your local dealership could do the same. To gain access you pull up on the front of the bottom cushion of the rear seat. Try banging on the tank with some thing heavy while someone cranks the engine, if this gets it to start, it's a good indication you have a bad fuel pump. Reattach the bracket to the mounting point with the bolt. Appreciate any help I can get, thanks.
The delaership printed a page from … their computer based parts book which gives a detailed picture. I guess I should have done that how-to I thought about a few years ago! For the last three weeks our Mazda is running just like new. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved. Underneath that there is a door held down by about some really soft screws. My local library has a subscription to this service, so for me, it was free. Anyway, we tried fuel injector cleaner, changed the spark plugs, physically cleaned the injectors, had a new fuel pump and filter put in, but still was having problems. We provide incredibly reasonable prices on quality parts. Now when try to start, and it fires then stalls out. If you notice that the car seems sluggish and you have to press the pedal much further than usual, it would indicate the fuel pump going out. If I get it to rub, when I step on the gas it bogs out. Went to start it today with no luck.
These reviews are from anyone who purchased those parts, in this case a Oil Filter, so you can feel confident that you know what you are buying. Most orders are shipped the same day. Remove the plate and disconnect the electrical connector on it, then lay it out of the way. I use Sea Foam every 8-10K miles and it helps. You'll see the top of the fuel tank with two lines and another electrical connector going into it. Enjoy and have a great day.
He is an excellent mechanic and I bring my 99 Ford Expedition to him for every oil change. It dampens the fuel pressure waves caused by the normal pumping action of the fuel pump. There are strange causes and effects…not always predictable. I'm probably going to start looking for something else soon. Fuel pumps inside fuel tanks get the added benefit of being cooled by the liquid petrol.
. One last thing, check your spark plugs for build up. Remove all these, the pull out the screws holding the round plate in. This was just a thought since you said the problem was that you sucked the debris from the bottom of the tank when you coasted into the gas station. Once that is done pull out the plate and you will have the entire fuel pump assembly in hand. When she started it back up, it was making noise, like a knocking. Someone said it was probably all the crap got sucked into the fuel filter.
Hey my mechanic told me that my Mazda 323 is one of the most reliable cars on the road - nice to know. After running for about 10 Mins idling it stalled. Then out of nowhere the engine would finally kick in and we would dart off. We would replace a part and the car would still have the same problem. The strainer is on the bottom. Fuel pressure at rest with pump off should stay above 21 psi.
